A media playback device according to any one of claims 15 to 27 which is further configured to enable a user to request playback of a previous media document in the media browsing session and, responsive to said request, to retrieve a reference to the first media document from the browsing history list, and to update the playlist pointer to identify the first media document as the currently-playing media document.
