The signal-bearing medium of claim 23 wherein multiple service delivery models are available for retrieval and whereby values associated with certain service variables result in a conflict about which service delivery model to choose when retrieving a service delivery model in dependence on the value each service variable will assume during the service delivery event, wherein the operations further comprise:

accessing a policy database to resolve the conflict; and

choosing the service delivery model in accordance with policy established in the policy database.
